Ozone-free lamps have surface coatings which block ozone generating wavelengths below 240nm, typically used on laboratory units or water cooled only UV systems to avoid the need for ozone filters or ducting on the installation.gew uv lamp The higher UVC output of ozone-free lamps also promotes surface cure, particularly important in some industrial applications such as hot melt adhesive curing.
